Dietitics

Jessie Pearson is an experienced Accredited Practising Dietitian and Primary School Teacher who has worked in clinical, community and aged-care dietetics. She recognises that our nutrition needs change throughout our lifespan and that achieving an optimal nutrition status can play a big role in our everyday lives, our participation in society and our health and development.

INFANTS

  • Poor growth/ Failure to Thrive/ Weight faltering
  • Healthy growth curve establishment
  • Introduction of solid foods
  • Fussy eating
  • Food sensitivities/intolerance/allergies.


CHILDREN AND ADOLESCENTS

  • Eating disorders (Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder, Disordered Eating, Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder, Other Specified Feeding and Eating Disorders)
  • Fussy eating, Moderate-Severe Food Restriction Disorders and Feeding Therapy
  • Diabetes Mellitus and endocrinology conditions
  • Autistic spectrum disorders and behavioural disorders
  • Weight management
  • Gastrointestinal conditions including Coeliac Disease, Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Irritable Bowel Disease
  • Food allergies and intolerances (including Low FODMAP diet and the RPAH elimination diet).

 

ADULTS

  • Eating disorders (Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder, Disordered Eating, Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder, Other Specified Feeding and Eating Disorders)
  • Chronic disease management (including Cardiovascular Disease and Diabetes Mellitus)
  • Gastrointestinal conditions including Coeliac Disease, Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Irritable Bowel Disease
  • Food allergy and intolerances (including Low FODMAP diet and RPAH elimination diet)
  • Weight management
  • Enteral feed management
  • Texture modification diets
  • Disability nutrition management.

Appointments are available with or without a referral.

 

Funding for dietetic consultations may be available via:

  • National Disability Insurance Scheme
  • Medicare via Chronic Disease Management plans through GP
  • Medicare via Eating Disorder Treatment plans through GP
  • Private Health Insurance Extra Cover (check insurance provider for eligibility).
